District hot water temperature is now required to be 45 degrees at the taps.  The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers have recently released their new district hot water guidance and recommendations on Heat Interface units. The National House Building Council have also backed this new document, the guidance demands district hot water is generated at 50 degrees at the HIU (previously 55 ). District hot water must then be delivered to the taps at a temperature of 45 degrees and within a time frame of 45 seconds during HIU service and repairs.

HIU Breakdownandrepairs are delighted at the latest news, the lower return temperatures which will now be generated will not only benefit the heat network but also have a profound effect on the parts within the hiu. HIU Breakdownandrepairs will ensure the recommendations are implemented by our HIU engineers during HIU services and repairs.
